Graham Mitchell, Managing Director
In 1997 Graham saw an opportunity and the potential to move Grant & Wilson Property Management Ltd in a new direction. He made the decision to approach the retiring owners to purchase this long established going concern, and the rest is history. Graham started with 6 employees in Glasgow and to date there are 29 in total across the three offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness. There has been challenging and hard times, however Graham feels having a BSc in Land Economics and being MRICS qualified together with membership of I.R.P.M has stood him in good stead. “We pride ourselves on providing individual clients with a professional, efficient and, most of all, reliable service. With our management team boasting over 100 years of knowledge and experience among them, our clients can have peace of mind, knowing that they are in trusted hands”

Amanda Gilmour, Sales & Development - General Manager
Amanda has been involved in the Scottish Property Market for over 18 years. The various roles held by Amanda have provided her with a wealth of experience in Commercial, Industrial and Residential Letting sectors, Estate Agency as well as Residential New Build Sales, with her experience in marketing and business development Amanda will work alongside Graham to ensure that the business moves forward in a positive way. Amanda believes that communication is the key to any successful business, and with her ability to communicate with people on all levels is an admirable quality. Amanda thrives on maximizing sales and ensuring that Grant & Wilson is focused on providing an excellent customer service.

Linda Thomson, Senior Property Manager
When starting with Grant & Wilson as an accounts administrator, Linda never imagined that one day she would be managing 9 Property Managers. With funding and support from Grant & Wilson, Linda attended the College of Building & Printing and with her organizational skills and dedication she achieved an HNC in Building Construction/ Supervision / Inspection and Materials, which has benefited both Linda and management within her role as Senior Property Manager. It has given her the confidence & knowledge to assist and support the Property Managers, colleagues, Clients as well as external Contractors.

John Beeny Insurance Manager
John has 36 years experience working for one of the largest general insurers within the United Kingdom. Whilst his main focus was in the area of claims, John also has considerable expertise and interest in customer service, projects and business relationship management with Policyholders and Insurance Brokers. John has a positive attitude and endeavours to find solutions to resolve problems. He hopes his insurance background will enable him to assist his colleagues at Grant and Wilson Property Management and they will benefit from his input and advice. John intends to maintain a professional and efficient service managing the insurance portfolio and administration of claims. John is a qualified ACII and Chartered Insurer.

Pauline Scott, has worked in debt recovery for over 15 years, she qualified as a Debt Recovery Paralegal at Strathclyde University in 2005. Pauline comes to Grant & Wilson with a wealth of debt recovery experience having worked in the legal sector for five years. With excellent communication and organisational skills Pauline successfully manages the debt recovery in-house for Grant & Wilson which give us a competitive edge over other property management agencies.

Ian Currie, Contracts Manager
Ian has a vast knowledge of the building industry and started his career as a plumber with the Strathclyde Regional Council’s water department. His steady career progression seen him securing the position as Waste Prevention Manager for the Strathclyde Region for 15years, and in 1992 he took the giant step of starting his own Property Development business, which his son now manages. Ian was looking for a change and a job that would give him challenges on a daily bases, however something that would still be communicating with the public in a customer service capacity. Grant & Wilson could see the potential in Ian, and were delighted when he agreed to take on the role as Contract Manager, inspecting the work carried out by our contractors and ensuring that the best possible price is achieved. This partnership is proving to be very successful and we are both looking forward to the future development of the business.

Ranald McWilliams, Consultant Property Manager
Ranald joined Grant and Wilson as a Consultant in September 2008. Having graduated with a B.Sc he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1983 and has worked in the Commercial sector ever since. In 1996 he set up his own Commercial Property Consultancy, Kerr McWilliam, and after an initial period in Edinburgh moved his base to the North of Scotland in 1997. With his property background he is ideally placed to assist with the looking after of the increasing number of properties in the North of Scotland.
