Company History

Grant & Wilson Ltd's connections with the east end of Glasgow go back more than a century. The company was established in 1899 as a family firm to undertake the factoring of residential and commercial property. In those days, most property was leasehold, with rents being collected on behalf of landlords and transferred by way of 'Factorial Statements'. Tenants would queue up to pay their monthly or weekly rent on a Saturday morning, and the line would sometimes stretch from the company's former first floor office in Bridgeton Cross to street level and beyond.

Over the years, the shift to owner-occupied tenure has resulted in changes in accounting and in the services we provide. We now focus exclusively on providing high quality property management services, with a strong emphasis on personal service and on building solid working relationships with residents, associations and developers.
We returned to being a family firm in 1997 and have worked hard at maintaining the company's tradition of excellent, customer-focused service. Our property management system has been developed and updated to provide efficient accounting procedures, using the latest technology wherever possible. We have now moved into managing modern flat developments in a variety of locations and price range. We also manage modern estates, and, in 1998, established a successful residential letting department.

At Grant & Wilson Ltd, we pride ourselves on our high professional standards and friendly, trustworthy and hard-working staff.

We offer property management built on firm foundations.
